Here is your Entertainment Roundup for today
Mercy Aigbe-Gentry VS Nigeria Police
Yoruba movie actress, Mercy Aigbe-Gentry was reportedly arrested on Wednesday by the Nigerian Police in Osogbo, Osun state, following a minor scuffle with some officers.
According to Vanguard newspapers, it all started when the light-skinned actress and her driver were stopped by Policemen at Orita-Olaiya Junction in Osogbo, because her driver made use of a mobile phone while driving.
While things appear to have been settled between both parties, another set of heavily-armed police men stormed the scene, firing several shots in the air as they then apprehended the actress and her co-travellers – taking them away from the scene.
However, according to ASP Egbedele, the assistant Police Public Relations Office, PPRO, Osun state Police command, everything has been sorted out.
It appears everything is indeed sorted out as Mercy posted this picture late last night.

1 Year after ‘Sugar Rush’ video dropped, D’banj clears the air on Tonto Dikeh and his record label

D'banj and Tonto DikehDapo Daniel Oyebanjo, popular Nigerian singer and Chief Executive Officer of D’banj Records, with stage name, D’banj, on Monday, cleared the air on whether actress/singer, Tonto Dikeh, has left his record label or not.
It was rumored that Dikeh, a female musician in D’banj records was kicked off the record label because she was not generating enough money for the company.
A year ago Tonto today – April 28th 2015, Tonto dropped the video for Sugar Rush under DB Records.
However, D’banj in an interview said nothing of such happened.
He said –
“I had a meeting with my team last year and I told everyone of them, my producers, songwriters and artistes that this year, they have to work harder than they had done in the past years.
I advised them to sit up and I even included myself even though I am their boss. That is why you would notice that I am not using my in-house producers, I am branching out to get producers from around the country.
For instance, I never met the producer of the song ‘Emergency’, before we did the song. Even the song that I am about to release now which features Oskido and some other South African artistes was done by a Nigerian that I had never met before.
I made up my mind that I was not going to do things the same way we used to do them anymore; there is no way we keep doing the same thing and expect to produce different results.
We are all talented and I believe that all the artistes I took under my wings are very talented.”1 Year after 'Sugra Rush'video dropped, D'banj clears the air on Tonto Dikeh and his record label

Lil  Kesh also has corroborated Olamide's statement explaining his departure from YBNL via a post on Instagram  "Ok, so it's true that my contract ended about two weeks ago like we all know my contract with YBNL was for two years but that's the business side to it. Business or no business YBNL is family and will always be till I go 6ft under the ground. YAGI records is real with the support of my big bro Olamide , YBNL , remains my management for life, YBNL doesn't just produce successful  artists, it produces artists that help produce other successful artists. That's the dream Baddo shared with me about a year ago." the rapper said.

Why D'banj and Genevieve Nnaji broke up

Why D'banj and Genevieve Nnaji broke up

Some of you think the relationship between D'banj and Genevieve Nnaji was a publicity stunt...it wasn't! The sexy stars dated off and on between 2009 and early 2012. D'banj recently opened up to Toolz on the Juice about his relationship with Ms Nnaji and said he doesn't know who dumped who
Genevieve was a frieDbanj and Genevieve broke up nd…(but now) I haven’t seen her…I don’t know who dumped who.
I can tell you for free that Genevieve did the dumping. Not necessarily because she wanted to, but because she had no choice. There were just too many women around D'banj. It seemed at a point, a lot of women wanted a piece of the Kokomaster, including a close friend of the actress who allegedly began an affair with D'banj behind her back. Genny decided she'd had enough and ended things in late 2011.

Genevieve and D'banj briefly reconciled in early 2012, but ended things for good after D'banj started flaunting his relationship with Ghanian actress, Nadia Buari. Continue...

The relationship which began in late 2009 after the two met at the airport, became public after D'banj granted an exclusive INTERVIEW to Stella Dimoko Korkus in March 2010, expressing his feelings for Miss Nnaji.

D'banj said:
"We have been trying to keep this quiet but yes, I am dating Genevieve Nnaji.  I am in love with her. It’s been long I felt this way about anyone. I don’t know what other words to use to qualify my feelings. She’s my baby, she’s my every thing and I love her."
People in the know claim that it wasn't only the other women in D'banj's life that ended their relationship but also because Genny herself was not committed to the relationship. D'banj was said to have been hurt after he heard that Genny had also allegedly dated another popular Nigerian singer.

Blanket

 Blanket
A blanket is a type of bedding, generally speaking, a large piece of woven cloth, intended to keep the user warm, especially while sleeping or lying down.
Blankets are distinguished from bed sheets by their thickness and purpose. Blankets are thicker; even the thinnest blanket is thicker than the heaviest sheet. Blankets are generally used for warmth and comfort, while sheets are for hygiene, comfort and aesthetics. Blankets were traditionally made of wool because of wool's warmth, breathability and natural fire-retardant properties, while sheets were made of cotton or linen or silk, which are less irritating to the skin. Nowadays, synthetic fibers are frequently used for both.types
Many types of blanket material, such as wool, are used because they are thicker and have more substantial fabric to them, but cotton can also be used for light blankets. Wool blankets are also relatively slow to burn compared to cotton. The most common types of blankets are woven acrylic, knitted polyester, mink, cotton, fleece and wool. Blankets also come with exotic crafting and exotic material such as crocheted afghan or a silk covering. The term blanket is often interchanged with comforter, quilt, and duvet, as they all have similar uses.
